Do your products contain gluten?
Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. products available in the US are made with a premium malt base (fermented barley and hops like traditional beer) that is then further processed using a highly specialized, multi-stage filtration process. Highly sensitive tests from an independent lab analysis indicate that mike's® products do not contain any traces of gluten protein (including hordein).
What are Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. products sweetened with / do they contain high fructose corn syrup?
Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. products are sweetened with high fructose corn syrup - with the exception of our light products: mike's light hard lemonade® and mike's light hard cranberry lemonade®, which contain a unique blend of the popular sweeteners: Splenda, Sunett and Nutrasweet and a trace amount of high fructose corn syrup.
Do any of Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. products contain aspartame?
mike's hard light lemonade®, mike's light hard cranberry lemonade®, mike's light hard tea, mike's HARD MANGO PUNCH™ and mike's HARD POMEGRANATE PUNCH™ do contain aspartame. Mike says you can tell if an alcohol beverage contains aspartame by looking for the following warning: PHENYLKETONURICS: CONTAINS PHENYLALANINE. Now that's a mouthful! Say that 10 times fast.
Our other mike's® products do not contain any high intensity sweeteners (including aspartame).
What kind of alcohol is in Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. products?
mike's® products available in the US are made from a proprietary fermented malt base like traditional beer. But unlike a traditional beer, Mike was able to perfect the fermenting process to create the purest tasting malt base on the planet! In side by side blind taste tests people preferred our malt formula over Absolut, Grey Goose and Skyy Vodka.
Do your products contain sulphites?
The trace levels, if existing at all, are below the legally required declaration limit of 10 parts per million, which Mike tells me is less than what a glass of wine would contain.
Do your products contain yeast?
Although yeast is used to ferment the sugars from the malt brew used in mike's® products, Mike has this crazy contraption called a PMFSP, or proprietary multi-stage filtration process, where the yeast is entirely removed from the flavored malt beverage downstream. It's one of the trade secrets that we have to help create a pure tasty malt beer.
Are Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. products vegan?
No animals were harmed in the making of our product, however, several lemons got the life squeezed out of them and Mike thinks that the juice is worth the squeeze.
There are no animal products in the ingredients or processing aids used to make mike's® products.
Are Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. products kosher?
Although mike's® products do not contain any inherently non-kosher ingredients such as animal derivatives or grape juice, they are not certified as kosher.
Why doesn't Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. list their ingredients?
Because Mike is a rebel and he thinks that rules are meant to be broken.
Just kidding! mike's® products are classified as beer under Federal law which does not require ingredient or nutritional labeling on beer as regulated by the Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).
How much sodium is in a bottle of mike's hard lemonade?
Way less than a salt lick! The mike's hard lemonade® (all flavors) have approximately 90 mg of sodium per 11.2 oz bottle - which Mike tells me is less sodium than that of 3 Saltine crackers.
